Requirements
Must:
- At least 8 years of experience in SAP master data management, including practical configuration in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
- Strong functional understanding of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), covering governance frameworks, data models, workflows, and validation processes.
- Proven experience in ETL processes, data harmonization, and system integration involving both SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Experience in leading or contributing to SAP transformation projects, data remediation efforts, or system consolidation initiatives.
- Background in regulated or compliance-focused environments.
- Knowledge of finance (FI/CO) and supply chain (MM, PP, QM) SAP areas.
- Familiarity with Business Partner conversion and CVI and exposure to SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud models.
- Understanding of downstream data consumers such as analytics, reporting, and planning tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data integrity.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts clearly.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and enhance the SAP master data governance and control framework, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance across global operations.
- Manage core master data objects, including Business Partners, Materials, Finance master data, and organizational structures.
- Establish and implement data stewardship strategies, ownership guidelines, approval workflows, and validation procedures.
- Collaborate with business and integration teams to address data integrity challenges affecting operations and analytics.
- Lead data harmonization initiatives involving SAP ECC, legacy systems, and external data sources for S/4HANA.
- Design and support ETL workflows for master data processing and transformation using SAP-approved tools.
- Define canonical master data models and mapping rules to facilitate system consolidation and S/4HANA migration readiness.
- Work with integration teams to ensure consistent publishing and consumption of master data across various systems.
- Partner with Systems Integrator for SAP MDG design and readiness, conducting fit/gap analyses and process harmonization.
- Translate existing ECC master data structures into S/4HANA-compatible designs, optimizing data models.
- Develop future-oriented governance processes for centralized and decentralized models of data ownership.
- Ensure master data governance solutions align with business and regulatory requirements, suggesting process enhancements where applicable.
- Create clear documentation on data models, governance workflows, mapping logic, and design decisions.
- Conduct testing and validation to meet GxP/GAMP 5/CSV requirements.
- Provide subject-matter expertise during audits and data remediation activities.
- Act as a functional lead for master data projects and drive data quality initiatives.
- Facilitate workshops to align data governance standards with global stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts in enterprise data governance practices.
- Participate in incident support to uphold master data integrity.
