Requirements
Must:
- University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience
- Strong expertise in ABAP and SAP development tools (ABAP-CDS, User Exits, BADI, BAPI, Adobe Forms, Workflows)
- Experience with SAP testing, documentation, and change management
- Solid understanding of business processes and the capability to align technical solutions with operational needs
- Exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5, HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS
- Functional knowledge of FI, CO, SD, or MM modules (an asset)
- Familiarity with S/4HANA, PI/PO, BRF+, IDOCs, EDI (an asset)
- Bilingual in French (advanced) and English (intermediate) required
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance ABAP solutions, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, workflows, and forms
- Collaborate with functional and business teams to translate business requirements into technical SAP solutions
- Conduct unit testing and support functional and integration testing activities
- Provide deployment assistance in production and troubleshoot system issues
- Enhance SAP application performance while ensuring compliance with best practices
- Create clear technical documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer and training for analysts and stakeholders
- Stay updated on SAP best practices and emerging technologies, proactively suggesting improvements
Description
We are experiencing remarkable growth and are seeking a SAP / ABAP Developer to join our Information Technology team for a temporary mandate of 12-18 months. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant SAP initiatives within a collaborative, people-focused organization. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing custom SAP solutions that enhance core business processes. Reporting to the Director of Systems, you will work closely with functional analysts and project teams to translate business needs into effective, scalable technical solutions, thereby improving daily operations and user experiences. This position is hybrid and based in Montreal, QC.
