Requirements
Must:
- Strong understanding of release management processes and methodologies.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Experience in release planning, scheduling, and coordination across multiple teams.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, and Remedy.
- Knowledge of batch job scheduling and monitoring tools (e.g., Autosys).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and build tools (e.g., Jenkins, Maven).
- Solid comprehension of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and risk management abilities to identify and mitigate release-related risks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage change control processes and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Experience in incident management and troubleshooting during releases.
- Flexibility to work in high-pressure environments and during off-hours or weekends.
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple releases and priorities concurrently.
- Familiarity with documentation tools like Confluence for maintaining release notes and plans.
- Knowledge of automation tools to streamline release processes.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the Release Management activities, ensuring effective collaboration and timely delivery of releases.
- Provide expert guidance on urgent production issues and assist teams in determining optimal release approaches.
- Advise development and DevOps teams on environment usage and deployment processes.
- Conduct root cause analysis for deployment issues to ensure timely resolution and system stability.
- Share best practices with teams regarding deployment processes and issue resolution.
- Prepare comprehensive production runbooks and lead walkthrough meetings to align stakeholders on deployment procedures.
- Manage dress rehearsal deployments and conduct post-deployment reviews for seamless transitions into production.
- Coordinate outage notifications and engage with users to confirm smooth release initiation.
- Lead end-to-end production releases, adhering to the steps outlined in the deployment runbook.
- Oversee Jira quality checks while providing support to Scrum Masters, Project Managers, and team members as necessary.
- Coordinate activities for significant and non-significant releases, ensuring proper preparation and alignment.
- Facilitate Go/No-Go decision-making processes for production releases.
- Initiate exception approvals when needed and ensure appropriate documentation for audits.
- Recommend and implement automation solutions to enhance process efficiency and minimize manual efforts.
- Manage UAT/Regression environment preparations, including deployments and workflow executions for testing readiness.
- Coordinate backup requests from Quality Assurance teams when required.
- Provision access in lower environments based on ARM requests.
- Handle ad hoc deployment requests with timely and efficient responses.
- Create change requests (CRQs) as required, ensuring proper tracking of changes.
- Oversee the change management process from CRQ creation to release container management.
- Facilitate communication with stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment during the release process.
