Requirements

Must:
- Over 5 years of experience in quality control and quality assurance (QA/QC) programs specific to data centers or mission-critical construction projects. - Knowledge of Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build construction methodologies. - Proficiency in civil/structural, building envelope, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation & controls disciplines. - Proven leadership experience in directing QA/QC and commissioning programs. - Competence in managing contractors, consultants, and vendors. - Experience with mission-critical power and cooling infrastructures relevant to current data center challenges. - Familiarity with construction quality assurance tools.

Responsibilities

- Develop and oversee quality program metrics to assess project performance. - Analyze metrics to identify root causes of concerning trends and collaborate with relevant parties for resolution. - Support the establishment of on-site partner construction QA and QC teams. - Assist in formulating QA/QC processes and standards to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness while promoting cross-functional communication. - Facilitate collaboration between design, construction, facility operations, and general contractors. - Deliver training to personnel on quality procedures and responsibilities within the QA/QC framework. - Coordinate quality-related issues among design, construction, and facility operations teams. - Conduct audits of QA/QC activities for staff and subcontractors to evaluate compliance with QA/QC protocols. - Review all submittals, especially mechanical, electrical, and plumbing documents, to ensure quality assurance and compliance. - Execute quality engineering evaluations of design documentation for adherence to established requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company records. - Develop and authorize levels one through five for product and process quality, incorporating construction quality procedures and technical deliverables. - Recommend and verify the effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions for project non-conformances and quality issues in collaboration with project management and other functional areas. - Evaluate commissioning scripts and provide constructive feedback to commissioning agents. - Aid construction managers in assessing turnover documentation for accuracy and completeness. - Collaborate with construction managers to review energization and commissioning schedules, ensuring compliance. - Facilitate the resolution of open issues in BIM360 and follow up on outstanding items needing closure. - Participate in factory witness tests as necessary for equipment and system installation. - Conduct onsite inspections for quality control of supplied equipment and systems, with documentation recorded in BIM360. - Assist in confirming the completion and retention of testing documentation for levels two and three. - Help review installed labeling, signage, and tagging for accuracy. - Aid in developing project-specific QA/QC dashboards and tracking matrices, along with semi-annual presentations. - Attend required construction meetings, including weekly and monthly QA/QC discussions.
