Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of experience in quality control and quality assurance (QA/QC) for data centers or mission-critical construction projects.
- Proven experience with Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build construction methods.
- Background in civil/structural, building envelope, mechanical, electrical, and I&C disciplines.
- Leadership experience in QA/QC and commissioning programs.
- Familiarity with managing contractors, consultants, and vendors.
- Experience with mission-critical power and cooling systems, applying that knowledge to current data center challenges.
- Previous use of construction quality tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee quality program metrics to assess project performance.
- Analyze metrics to identify root causes of negative trends and collaborate with relevant parties for resolution.
- Aid in building on-site partner construction QA and QC teams.
- Assist in creating QA/QC processes and standards to enhance efficiency and communication across functions.
- Facilitate interactions between design, construction, and facility operations and liaise with general contractors.
- Train personnel on quality awareness, procedures, and responsibilities within the QA/QC framework.
- Coordinate quality-related issues among design, construction, and facility operations teams.
- Perform audits of QA/QC activities to ensure compliance with procedures.
- Assess submittals, particularly mechanical, engineering, and plumbing (MEP), for quality assurance and provide feedback.
- Conduct quality engineering reviews of design documentation for adherence to requirements.
- Develop and approve necessary quality procedures and checklists, including construction quality procedures (CQPs).
- Recommend and ensure proper implementation of corrective actions for quality issues in collaboration with project and quality management teams.
- Provide feedback on commissioning scripts from commissioning agents.
- Support the construction manager in reviewing turnover documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist in reviewing energization, start-up, and commissioning schedules to ensure compliance.
- Help resolve outstanding issues in BIM360 and escalate unresolved items as needed.
- Attend factory witness tests as required for contractor-installed equipment and systems.
- Conduct on-site visual inspections for construction quality control of both OFCI and CFCI systems, documenting findings in BIM360.
- Ensure completion and retention of Level two and three testing documentation.
- Aid in evaluating installed labeling, signage, and tagging.
- Help develop project-specific QA/QC dashboards and tracking matrices, as well as prepare for semi-annual QA/QC presentations.
- Participate in necessary construction meetings such as weekly project and monthly global QA/QC sessions.
