Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two years relevant experience
- At least four years of experience in functional testing, including automated testing
- Proficiency in writing and executing test plans
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design
- Understanding of all phases of the software development life cycle
- Experience with automated smoke, functional, and regression testing
- Strong skills in relational databases like MSSQL and MySQL
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Azure DevOps and Git
- Detailed attention to quality
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute smoke, functional, and regression test plans using various testing techniques
- Document and track defects identified during testing, collaborating with the development team to prioritize and resolve issues
- Share insights on functional requirements throughout the software development phases
- Adhere to established development standards and methodologies, especially agile practices
- Collaborate with a team to assess current and potential software techniques and technologies
- Contribute to the creation of processes and standards to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
- Coordinate testing efforts across various contributors
- Assist in documenting and advocating for best practices in testing
- Offer feedback on quality improvement strategies
- Mentor colleagues to enhance their testing skills
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Description
We are a leading provider of business and technology services based in Tucson, AZ, seeking a Quality Test Engineer II to join our cross-functional QA team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing functional testing on both internal and external software components. This is a Contract to Hire position, offering a competitive pay range of $48.00 - $58.00/hr.
