Requirements
Must:
- 5-8+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Python 3.10+; ability to write clean and idiomatic Python code
- Extensive experience with FastAPI or similar asynchronous web frameworks
- Solid understanding of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, along with ORM patterns and schema migration tools
- Knowledge of large-scale data management, including data ingestion, normalization, and persistence with strong integrity
- Familiarity with long-running processes, including retries and graceful failure handling
- Working knowledge of concurrency and distributed systems in Python (asyncio, multiprocessing)
- Capability to design systems of medium complexity with clear architecture and API contracts
- Some familiarity with cloud technologies and environments, especially AWS
- Experience with Terraform, CI/CD practices, and DevOps methodologies
Responsibilities
- Engage in backend engineering, primarily developing in Python
- Design, build, and maintain security platforms for enterprise cloud infrastructure
- Manage secrets and interactions in the development process
- Participate in DevOps activities and contribute to system design as needed
- Code approximately 65% of the time, with 10% dedicated to designing features and 25% on DevOps tasks
- Collaborate within a small, impactful team on critical projects
- Leverage AI coding agents to enhance workflow and maintain high standards of engineering
- Participate in sprint cycles, including thorough pull-request reviews
- Participate in a weekly rotation for product support to ensure service health
