Requirements
Must:
- At least 7 years of experience in product management, specifically in platform, infrastructure, or API products within large enterprises
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading cross-functional teams in large-scale deliveries
- Proven ability to define multi-quarter product roadmaps and utilize outcome-driven prioritization frameworks (e.g., RICE, WSJF)
- Expertise in conducting customer interviews, mapping user journeys, and enhancing API/portal experiences
- Comprehensive understanding of the API lifecycle including discovery, design, versioning, and deprecation strategies
- Strong technical knowledge of compute, storage, networking, identity, and secrets management in both on-premises and cloud environments
- Familiarity with major cloud services such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and internal developer platforms
- Proficiency in Terraform and Ansible for automation
- Understanding of API gateways, DNS, reverse proxies, and zero-trust security models
- Knowledge of API design principles including REST, event-driven APIs, and GraphQL
- Experience with API management tools such as Azure API Management and Kong
- Strong understanding of security protocols like OAuth2, JWT, and least privilege models
- Ability to enhance developer experiences through quality documentation and robust SDK strategies
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the API Enablement product roadmap and backlog encompassing compute, storage, network, and database APIs
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and security teams to craft APIs that adhere to enterprise standards for performance and compliance
- Create clear models for API consumption along with comprehensive documentation and guidelines for developer experience
- Evaluate and prioritize features based on business impact, technical feasibility, and user requirements
- Foster stakeholder engagement to drive API adoption within the organization
- Analyze API performance metrics and user feedback to facilitate continuous product improvement
- Ensure that the development of APIs aligns with enterprise architecture principles and regulatory standards
