Platform Engineer - Data Science

- Facilitate ongoing operations of the Data Science Infrastructure. - Design and implement AWS environments utilizing CI/CD methodologies for a rapidly expanding team of Data Scientists. - Oversee and maintain large-scale environments that cater to both current and forthcoming Data Science teams. - Enhance the configuration by managing and administrating the image management lifecycle effectively. - Assist in establishing and overseeing AWS accounts targeted specifically for the Data Science platform. - Engage in hands-on development utilizing CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps. - Employ Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilities like Terraform for environment deployment and oversight. - Create scripts and applications leveraging programming languages, with a focus on Python. - Manage various database technologies, including Athena, Oracle, MySQL, and Postgres. - Utilize AWS services critical for Data Lake and teams in Data Science and AI/ML. - Address and resolve inquiries from development and business users, clearing obstacles as needed. - Supervise secured infrastructure, implement security protocols, and enforce necessary guardrails. - Identify and rectify infrastructure vulnerabilities while adhering to service level agreements, and maintain audit documentation. - Conduct system upgrades and apply patches, providing on-call assistance when required. - Perform root cause analysis and lead knowledge transfer sessions with internal teams. - Collaborate with Network, Database, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams to ensure alignment on projects and strategic goals.
