Requirements
Must:
- 5-10+ years of experience in telecommunications, fiber installation, or utility construction
- In-depth knowledge of OSP and ISP fiber infrastructure, encompassing pathways, splicing, testing, and network integration
- Experience managing large-scale or mission-critical construction projects
- Proven track record of supervising field teams and subcontractors in dynamic environments
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to work onsite at an active data center construction site
- Familiarity with coordination processes and large-scale construction workflows (preferred)
- Knowledge of fiber certification, testing tools, and documentation standards (preferred)
- Capability to manage multiple work fronts concurrently (preferred)
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence cross-functional teams (preferred)
- Experience with construction management software such as Procore or Bluebeam (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily OSP and ISP construction operations, including fiber installation, duct bank work, pathways, terminations, and testing
- Collaborate closely with the general contractor, client teams, and project leadership to ensure alignment on schedule, scope, and priorities
- Direct field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure safe and efficient task completion in compliance with specifications
- Monitor project milestones and proactively address any issues that could affect schedule or quality
- Guarantee adherence to hyperscale data center standards, security protocols, and necessary documentation
- Examine construction drawings, fiber routes, splicing plans, and installation specifications
- Assist in QA/QC processes including inspections, testing documentation, and closeout packages
- Resolve field challenges relating to fiber routing, pathway limitations, and installation conflicts
- Assure correct use of materials, equipment, and installation techniques in accordance with industry best practices
- Provide daily guidance to field supervisors, foremen, and technicians
- Facilitate coordination meetings with trades and client stakeholders
- Maintain robust communication between field operations and project management teams
- Aid in workforce planning, staffing, and resource distribution across OSP/ISP projects
- Monitor production, labor hours, materials, and equipment utilization
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost management initiatives
- Ensure precise documentation for testing, as-builts, redlines, and turnover packages
- Uphold compliance with safety regulations and client-specific requirements
