Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as an IAM Engineer, specifically with hands-on development using NetIQ / Micro Focus / OpenText IAM tools
- In-depth understanding of IAM principles, such as provisioning/deprovisioning, identity governance, RBAC/ABAC, and least-privileged access
- Experience in building and supporting IAM provisioning tools like NetIQ Identity Manager, SailPoint IIQ, Oracle Identity Manager, or similar platforms
- Expertise in Java development, scripting (JavaScript / ECMAScript / shell scripting), and API integrations (REST/SOAP)
- Demonstrated background in identity lifecycle management, covering birthright access and role-based provisioning
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including CI/CD practices and DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence preferred)
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities for complex systems
- Knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks, such as NIST, SOX, PCI, or HIPAA
- Capability to thrive in a collaborative, dynamic, cross-functional engineering environment
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions to regulate user access across enterprise systems
- Enhance and support IAM provisioning and access management platforms, primarily focusing on NetIQ / OpenText Identity Manager
- Automate user lifecycle tasks such as onboarding, role transitions, and offboarding (joiner/mover/leaver)
- Investigate and resolve intricate identity, access, and entitlement challenges across interconnected systems
- Create and uphold custom integrations using Java, scripting, and REST/SOAP APIs
- Generate and maintain technical documents, including system designs and configuration guidelines
- Conduct root-cause and impact assessments to pinpoint issues and propose sustainable solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/DevOps setting to deliver secure, scalable IAM solutions
- Ensure IAM solutions adhere to security, risk, and compliance protocols and industry best practices
Description
We are seeking a NetIQ Developer to join our remote team. This contract role is based out of Washington D.C. The pay range for this position is between $50.00 and $70.00 per hour, with eligibility requirements applying to certain benefits, which may vary based on job classification and employment duration.
