Requirements

Must:
- Strong experience in OpenShift platform operations, including cluster builds and both day 1 and day 2 operations - Proven production support experience, especially in incident, problem, and change management - Proficient in Python scripting (more advanced skills required for Engineer 5) - Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana and Splunk - Nice to have: Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (ACM) - Nice to have: Experience in AI Ops initiatives (especially for Engineer 5) - Nice to have: Understanding of the Kubernetes ecosystem beyond OpenShift - Previous financial services experience is a plus, but not mandatory

Responsibilities

- Oversee the end-to-end build of new OpenShift clusters and deploy them into the environment - Conduct full lifecycle day 2 operations, including patching, maintenance, upgrades, and hardware support - Troubleshoot platform issues while managing incidents, problems, and changes - Ensure platform stability and reliability across private cloud Kubernetes settings - Participate in the on-call rotation (currently weekly; may vary as the team expands) - For Engineer 5: Act as architectural level support to the manager and lead operational transformations, contribute to AI Ops strategies, and enhance automation through Python - For Engineer 4: Take lead on operational tasks, cluster builds, and incident responses with minimal direction - For Engineer 3: Execute core L2 operations with some guidance; manage routine platform tasks and troubleshooting
