Requirements
Must:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 7 years experience in mainframe support areas such as CICS, DB2, DASD, Network, and z/OS
- Proficient in mainframe development, including design, analysis, and coding with CICS, JCL, MVS, VSAM
- Familiarity with CICS system programming, installations, security, and best practices
- Experience with Cobol CICS, CICS Web Services, and CICS Transaction Gateway
- Knowledge of mainframe MuleSoft API middleware integration is a plus
- Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred
- Experience in leading complex migrations and engaging with vendors is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Plan, oversee, and execute complex upgrades and configuration changes across our platforms (25%)
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for one or more subsystems, advising on risk mitigation strategies (20%)
- Mentor junior and mid-level programmers, assisting them with tasks and incident responses (15%)
- Lead resolution efforts for high-priority incidents, providing necessary post-mortem documentation (15%)
- Collaborate with infrastructure architects to align subsystem configurations with enterprise standards (15%)
- Establish and maintain runbooks, configuration baselines, and audit-ready documentation (10%)

We are seeking a Lead Systems Programmer to join our dynamic team in Raleigh, NC. This is a contract role that allows for hybrid work arrangements.
