Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a related field, preferably in computer science
- Over 5 years of experience in ETL development within a Data Warehouse, with knowledge of enterprise data warehousing best practices and standards
- More than 5 years of experience with database programming languages and advanced analytics
- At least 5 years of experience using Python/PySpark, IBM DataStage, and SQL development
- Over 3 years of hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure projects, specifically migration expertise on public clouds such as AWS and Azure, ideally with Snowflake
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional preferred
- Familiarity with cybersecurity practices, operations, risk management processes, principles, architectural needs, engineering, and vulnerabilities, including incident response methodologies
- Experience in defining future state roadmaps for data warehouse applications
- Experience leading development teams within a project
- Background in the financial services or banking industry
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance code by adhering to best practices and industry standards
- Convert requirements and data mapping documents into a technical design
- Develop and implement unit test plans, and support regression and system testing efforts
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered during testing or in production
- Communicate project status, issues, and obstacles with the team
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and addressing opportunities
- Stay informed about technical industry trends and advancements
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers on the team
- Take on project leadership responsibilities for specific assignments
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Description
We are seeking an ETL Developer for a 3-month contract-to-hire position at Huntington Bank, with opportunities available in various locations including Columbus, Dallas, Minneapolis, and Tupelo. In this role, you will join our Enterprise Data Warehouse team focusing on harnessing data as a valuable asset for the organization. You will engage closely with multiple technology teams and utilize key technologies such as AWS EC2/Glue, Snowflake, Python, and IBM DataStage. We offer a competitive pay range of $60.00 - $77.00 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, and more. This is a fully onsite position located in Dallas, TX.
