Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in computer science, statistics, or a related field
- Over 7 years of relevant experience in data management disciplines, including data integration, modeling, optimization, and data quality
- More than 7 years of proficiency with database programming languages and advanced analytics
- Preferred: Masters degree in computer science, statistics, or a related discipline
- Experience with data testing and preparation tools
- Familiarity with data engineering tools such as Glue, Lambda, Athena, and AWS
- In-depth understanding of BI software tools and both open-source and commercial data science platforms
- Knowledge of Agile methodology and various Data Management architectures
- Proven ability to design, build, and manage data pipelines
- Strong experience handling large, heterogeneous datasets
- Successful track record in extracting business value from large datasets
- Experience with DevOps practices like version control, automated builds, testing, and release management
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex results to diverse audiences
- Ability to collaborate effectively in teams and independently manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- A strategic thinker with an inquisitive mindset focused on delivering results
- Professional demeanor with a talent for building cross-functional relationships
- Capability to mentor junior analysts in everyday tasks as necessary
- Previous experience leading cross-functional teams
- Willingness to learn new technologies during work
- Background in Financial Services is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design, create, and oversee the maintenance of data pipelines
- Support the upgrade of data management infrastructure to enhance automation in data integration and management
- Collaborate with data science teams and business analysts to clarify their data requirements for various initiatives
- Provide training to peers on data pipelining and preparation techniques for improved data integration
- Work with data governance teams to review and promote content for curated data catalogs
- Clearly communicate intricate results to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Navigate effectively within teams and independently across multiple tasks to meet project deadlines
- Exhibit strategic thinking and intellectual curiosity with an emphasis on results
- Maintain a professional image while cultivating relationships across different functions
- Lead, coach, and mentor team members while fostering cross-department collaboration
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive understanding of business needs
- Anticipate and evaluate technological trends and their potential impacts
- Guide individuals through organizational change and act as a role model
- Undertake additional duties as assigned
Description
We are looking for a Data Engineer Lead who will be instrumental in establishing and managing essential data for our enterprise data and analytics efforts. The pay range for this role is between $60.00 and $85.00 per hour, with benefits eligibility that may include medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) retirement plan, among others.
