Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in data center operations
- Proficiency in hardware and network diagnosis and repair
- Strong aptitude for identifying the root causes of hardware and software issues
- Experience in training and developing internal teams
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation
- Competence in providing technical support to data center personnel
- Skilled in scripting for server and network hardware updates
- Inventory management experience
- Familiarity with equipment assembly and installation
- Capable of performing maintenance on testing tools and equipment
- Willingness to travel to other data centers as necessary
- Familiarity with Cisco IOS, Juniper, and Junos
- Proficient in Python and Bash scripting
- Strong background in computer hardware troubleshooting and assembly
- Experience with Linux Operating Systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in elevated areas
- Availability to work 24/7 and participate in on-call duties when necessary
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication abilities
- Quick to prioritize and respond to pressing issues
Responsibilities
- Ensure seamless operation of data center activities to maintain service reliability and availability
- Conduct diagnostics and repairs on hardware and network systems
- Perform root cause analysis for any hardware and software failures
- Train internal teams on best practices and operational protocols
- Develop and update technical documentation for processes and systems
- Provide ongoing technical support to data center staff
- Create scripts for effective updates on server and networking hardware
- Manage inventory efficiently to ensure resource availability
- Assemble and install new equipment as required
- Perform routine maintenance on testing tools and equipment
- Engage in occasional travel to other data center locations when needed
