Requirements
Must:
- Experience in data center operations
- Proficiency in hardware and network diagnostics and repairs
- Ability to perform root cause analysis for hardware and software failures
- Experience in training internal teams
- Strong skills in documentation development
- Provide technical support to data center teams
- Capability to develop scripts for server and network hardware updates
- Knowledge of inventory management
- Experience in assembling and installing equipment
- Maintenance expertise for test and tools equipment
- Willingness to travel to other data centers as necessary
- Familiarity with Cisco IOS, Juniper, Junos, Python, and Bash scripting
- Computer hardware experience (troubleshooting and assembly)
- Familiarity with Linux operating system
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond swiftly to issues
Responsibilities
- Ensure data center operations maintain optimal service availability and reliability
- Conduct diagnostics and perform repairs on hardware and networks
- Analyze root causes of hardware and software failures
- Train and support internal team members
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Offer ongoing technical assistance to data center personnel
- Develop and implement scripts for updating server and network hardware
- Manage and track inventory levels
- Assemble and install data center equipment
- Carry out maintenance on testing and tooling equipment
- Undertake occasional travel to other data center locations as needed
