Requirements
Must:
- Typically requires a bachelors degree in a relevant field and 2 years of pertinent experience, or an advanced degree in a suitable area with 1 year of relevant experience
- In the absence of a degree, 7 years of related experience is essential
- Proficient knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), encompassing planning, designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software applications
- Experienced in developing Java enterprise applications
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Exceptional documentation and writing abilities
- Familiarity with JMS for sending and receiving messages
- Experience with OSGi for bundle installation and development
- Knowledge of Agile Development Methodology
- Experience working in a Linux operating system environment
- Technical expertise in the Aviation sector
Responsibilities
- Design and implement vital features within our proprietary software to facilitate the transmission of millions of messages globally
- Assist in refactoring our proprietary software to align with a newer version of OpenJDK
- Contribute to the swift development of DevSecOps pipelines for automated builds and testing within our Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) process
- Collaborate closely with the Technical Lead, Architects, and other Software Engineers on our development team to support critical initiatives and enhance our aviation market presence
- Develop enterprise applications capable of scaling from small to large airline clients
- Gain insight into how our Messaging applications and services interface with aviation customers and partners
- Understand the significance of communication systems in airline operations within the aviation market
- Create solutions in collaboration with cross-discipline engineering teams
