Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience with SCADA/HMI systems, with a strong preference for Ignition
- Familiarity with industrial protocols including OPC UA and TCP/IP
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C# and Angular, along with backend/frontend development skills
- Expertise in microservices and API development
- Solid understanding of SQL
- Nice-to-have skills
- Knowledge of .NET technologies
- Experience with Python
- Familiarity with IoT and MQTT
- Awareness of manufacturing KPIs or OEE
- Exposure to MES systems
- Understanding of cloud storage solutions like S3 and time-series databases
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and sustain SCADA/HMI solutions, preferably using Ignition
- Integrate new manufacturing apparatus through protocols such as OPC UA and TCP/IP
- Modernize current integrations for cloud readiness
- Collaborate with edge devices to capture, standardize, and relay machine data
- Create and maintain MQTT-based data ingestion pipelines
- Direct data transfer to cloud storage, time-series databases, and MES platforms
- Develop microservices and APIs to share machine and processing data
- Utilize C#, Angular, .NET, and related Microsoft technologies
- Support document-based and time-series data platforms as needed
- Work closely with process, quality, and product engineers to derive operational insights from raw machine data
- Provide occasional onsite support at various Samtec manufacturing sites
