Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in working within headend, hub, or central office environments is essential.
- Strong skills in rack-and-stack procedures for telecom, routing, switching, and optical platforms.
- Experience in fiber optic installation, dressing, and testing.
- Hands-on expertise with DC power feeds.
- Familiarity with equipment from Ciena, Adtran, Lucent, Cisco, or Juniper.
- Understanding of optical transport systems and core networks for service providers.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and configure telecom and optical network equipment in headends, hubs, and data centers.
- Execute the installation and migration of core network devices for next-generation optical platform deployments.
- Conduct testing for fiber-optical power measurements and path verification.
- Install and terminate direct current (DC) power supply.
- Load pre-configured settings into network devices.
- Travel to various sites across New York City and New Jersey as project needs arise.
