Requirements
Must:
- Active DoD Security Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, Top Secret/SCI) is mandatory
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Bachelors degree and 4-8 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in various network hardware specifications, configuration, and testing processes
- Familiar with network systems configuration, activation, testing, and analysis
- Experience in network engineering, problem management, and performance management
- Understanding of telecommunications and IT terminology
- Knowledge of data and voice network design across multiple transmission systems, including military and commercial protocols like BGP and ISIS
- Experience with various network services (BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, WAN, VPN, VLAN, VRF, etc.) and appliances (e.g., routers, firewalls)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration
- Active Secret security clearance required
- DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
- Preferred: prior experience at DISA and familiarity with SharePoint data entry and DISA processes, including TSRs and TSOs
- Network certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Microsoft MCSE, security certifications like CISSP) are desirable
Responsibilities
- Engage in customer coordination and manage Initial Test and Acceptance (IT&A) processes
- Execute reporting functions and data input for new service activations in compliance with DISA standards
- Collaborate with customers, solution architects, and vendor subject matter experts to implement updates and troubleshoot issues
- Oversee Service Orders according to Change Management protocols
- Ensure accuracy of Telecommunication Service Orders (TSOs) for network modifications
- Initiate configurations for network devices using configuration scripts
- Analyze DISN and databases to verify and implement customer needs
- Design and implement solutions for complex technical issues, including testing and documentation
- Coordinate with commercial vendors for customer circuit activation to establish end-to-end connectivity
- Monitor network performance to evaluate the impact of implemented changes on customer traffic
- Apply systems analysis techniques and engage with users to determine functional requirements
- Collaborate with DISA project managers and customers to resolve any gaps in requirements
- Proactively liaise with stakeholders to facilitate necessary approvals for service requests
