Requirements
Must:
- 3-4 years of experience in a Service Desk, Help Desk, or Desktop Support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS environments.
- Familiarity with Office 365 or Microsoft 365.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi).
- Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Tanium, Spreadsheets, etc.).
- Proficiency in using Bomgar.
- Ability to troubleshoot common hardware and software issues.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Capability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Must be onsite at our Hoffman Estates office Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm CST.
- Availability for occasional overtime or weekend support (with IT Manager approval).
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, network, and account-related issues.
- Deliver on-site assistance for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and escalate complex issues as necessary to Level 2/Level 3 teams or Team Leads.
- Manage ticket creation, updates, and closure within our ITSM system.
- Assist with user onboarding and offboarding, including device setup and account provisioning.
- Support password resets, access requests, and MFA assistance.
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment, including asset tagging and tracking using ServiceNow, Tanium, and spreadsheets.
- Install and configure standard applications and security tools.
- Provide hands-on support during meetings, including setting up conference rooms and troubleshooting AV issues.
- Adhere to established SOPs, knowledge base articles, and escalation procedures.
- Ensure high-quality customer service, professionalism, and effective communication with end users.
- Ship laptop hardware to ensure timely delivery to new hires.
- Ensure timely shipping of return boxes to offboarded users for hardware retrieval.
- Collaborate with the team to provide support during on-site town hall meetings at our Executive Conference Room and other conference areas at the Hoffman Estates location.
- Track IT work in ServiceNow, troubleshoot, and document resolutions within ServiceNow tickets.
