Requirements
Must:
- At least 6 months of professional work experience in any field.
- Experience in IT, which could include internships, coursework, labs, certifications, or entry-level IT positions.
- Familiarity with data entry, inventory management, or maintaining records.
- Basic knowledge of IT hardware configuration, such as PC setup and peripheral connections, is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail with a readiness to learn new technologies.
- Effective communication skills and a customer service orientation.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems is preferred.
- Basic understanding of IT support procedures or ticketing systems is desirable.
- Relevant educational background or certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, IT Fundamentals) are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist with fundamental IT support activities, including hardware setup, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
- Conduct data entry and ensure accurate documentation of IT assets, inventory, and equipment allocations.
- Aid in the configuration, deployment, and replacement of IT hardware, including desktops, laptops, monitors, and peripherals.
- Monitor equipment movements, updates, and returns to maintain inventory precision.
- Clearly document tasks, processes, and updates for internal tracking and reporting purposes.
- Refer complex issues to senior IT personnel as needed and support follow-up activities.
Description
We are looking for an Entry-Level IT Support Technician to join our team in Shakopee, MN, to assist with daily IT operations and provide end-user support. This position offers a great opportunity for individuals who are beginning their careers in IT and possess a basic understanding of IT concepts alongside a keen interest in hands-on technical support.
