Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience with SCADA/HMI systems, preferably with Ignition
- Knowledge of industrial protocols, including OPC UA and TCP/IP
- Proficient in C#, Angular, and other backend and frontend programming languages
- Strong skills in microservices and API development
- Familiarity with SQL databases
- Nice-to-have: Experience with .NET, Python, IoT/MQTT, OEE, MES systems, cloud storage solutions (S3), and time-series databases
Responsibilities
- Design and enhance SCADA/HMI solutions utilizing Ignition
- Implement integration of new manufacturing equipment using OPC UA, TCP/IP, and related industrial protocols
- Update existing integrations to align with a cloud-ready framework
- Collaborate with edge devices to capture, normalize, and disseminate machine data
- Develop and maintain MQTT-based data ingestion pipelines
- Facilitate data transmission to cloud storage options, time-series databases, and MES systems
- Create microservices and APIs for effective data distribution
- Utilize C#, Angular, .NET, and Microsoft technologies to support software solutions
- Provide support for document-based and time-series data platforms
- Work closely with process, quality, and product engineers to translate raw machine data into actionable insights
- Offer occasional onsite assistance at various Samtec manufacturing sites
