Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of experience in OSP Horizontal Directional Drilling and locating within underground construction
- Proficiency in mechanical excavation, trenching, or duct bank installation
- Strong work ethic, dependable, and able to work effectively in a team
- Familiarity with drill setup and maintenance, including mixing drilling mud
- Comfortable executing daily equipment maintenance
- Experience with navigating underground environments
- Flexible, safety-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality work
- Telecommunications background preferred; open to utility, water, or related construction experience
Responsibilities
- Operate as part of a four-person crew performing underground telecommunications and utility construction
- Execute horizontal directional drilling, conduit and cable placement, and mechanical excavation
- Conduct ground restoration to reintegrate the workspace post-project
- Provide accurate locating of underground utilities and operate the Vermeer 2440 drill
- Support all phases of underground placement, ensuring compliance with project specifications
- Assist in drill maintenance and mixing drilling mud as necessary
- Collaborate effectively with team members to promote project efficiency
- Adjust to varying weather conditions while working on-site
