Requirements
Must:
- 7+ years of relevant experience in GIS within enterprise settings
- Advanced knowledge of enterprise database systems and linear referencing datasets
- Proficiency in using ArcGIS Pro for data management tasks
- Experience implementing branch versioning strategies in collaborative environments
- Skills in maintaining complex enterprise data across multiple users
- Ability to develop and execute QA/QC procedures
- Hands-on experience with enterprise database queries
- Strong organizational skills and capability to generate progress reports
- Experience with hydrography layer work or stream network data (preferred)
- Familiarity with digital delivery workflows for data (preferred)
- Knowledge of ADA data compliance standards (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Maintain and modify GIS data within a multi-user enterprise system
- Apply versioning strategies and linear referencing tools effectively
- Oversee the activities of other GIS specialists
- Update and manage versioning workflows
- Generate and distribute progress reports
- Fulfill routine requests for data and mapping
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in a large-scale environment
- Work independently with complex datasets
- Collaborate with team members to optimize processes
Description
We are looking for a GIS Specialist - Expert to join our team on a contract basis, working remotely from North Carolina. This role is focused on data compilation and maintaining data integrity in a multi-user enterprise environment. The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $53.00 per hour, with eligibility for various benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan options, and more.
