Requirements
Must:
- Proficient in development using FileMaker Pro
- Strong skills in system integration and ERP systems
- Experience with SQL and database design
- Knowledge of ODBC, JSON, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with manufacturing or printing industries (preferred, not mandatory)
- Basic understanding of relational database design principles
- Experience with AppleScript (ideal, but not essential as it will be phased out)
- JavaScript or PHP knowledge (beneficial but not a substitute for FileMaker)
- Previous experience collaborating with contractor/vendor development teams
- Intermediate level of experience in the field
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main FileMaker subject matter expert for the organization
- Collaborate directly with end users to define, implement, test, and launch system upgrades
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of FileMaker modifications, from gathering requirements to quality assurance, user approval, and deployment
- Coordinate with an external development firm for larger projects and enhancements
- Aim to reduce external contractor reliance by providing in-house FileMaker expertise
- Ensure the stability and scalability of our critical ERP platform
- Maintain a regular onsite presence at our FileMaker-based manufacturing facility
Description
We are seeking an Internal Applications Developer to take charge of and support our customized ERP system, built on Claris FileMaker Pro. This hybrid role is located in Orem, UT, and involves a significant in-house presence at our manufacturing facility.
