Requirements
Must:
- 6+ months of experience in Managed File Transfer Operations (Axway SecureTransport or similar tools like Control M or MoveIt)
- Proficient in incident troubleshooting and providing L2-style production support
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix, including command line operations, log management, and file systems
- Familiarity with HTTPS, HSH, and SHS protocols, especially in validating secure connections
- Experience with reviewing certificates and supporting encrypted data transfer workflows
- Understanding of networking fundamentals such as SFTP/FTP, TCP/IP, port testing, and certificates
- Strong communication skills, particularly in conveying technical issues clearly in support interactions and documentation
- Writing skills to produce clear operational documentation, incident summaries, and procedure updates
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
Responsibilities
- Provide daily operational support for enterprise file transfer platforms
- Monitor the performance and health of secure file transfer services
- Resolve incidents and troubleshoot issues promptly
- Assist with product upgrades and routine maintenance tasks
- Collaborate with team members on migration and automation initiatives
- Test, debug, and document applications utilizing Agile methodologies
- Generate operational documentation, policies, and procedures
- Utilize monitoring tools to support business application and operations teams
- Participate in daily compliance discussions focusing on risk and control flow
- Develop long-term strategies to identify and mitigate potential issues
Description
We are seeking a Managed File Transfer (MFT) Engineer - L3 to join our team in Charlotte, NC, with a hybrid work schedule of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. This is a long-term W2 contract role where you will play a key part in delivering operational support for our enterprise file transfer platforms.
