Requirements
Must:
- Epic Orders Certification (active and current)
- Over 3 years of experience as an Epic Orders analyst, including participation in at least one complete Epic implementation
- Proven expertise in Epic Orders setup and maintenance
- Knowledgeable in clinical workflows and the provider ordering processes
- Experience in test planning, execution, and resolution of defects
- Strong understanding of order sets, preference lists, clinical decision support, and order routing
- Familiarity with supporting testing phases, including user acceptance testing (UAT) and integrated testing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication capabilities to effectively collaborate with clinical, technical, and operational stakeholders
- Experience within healthcare environments such as hospitals, health systems, or outpatient settings
Responsibilities
- Act as the subject matter expert on Epic Orders, covering aspects like Order Transmittal, Order Sets, Preference Lists, and Clinical Decision Support
- Design, construct, configure, and sustain Epic Orders workflows, ensuring alignment with clinical and operational requirements
- Engage in Epic implementations, enhancements, upgrades, and system design planning sessions
- Collaborate with clinicians, stakeholders, and IT personnel to gather and translate requirements into Epic solutions
- Create and maintain testing scripts, conducting unit, integrated, and user acceptance testing (UAT), and facilitating end-to-end testing cycles
- Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify build issues, defects, and workflow inconsistencies
- Offer support during go-live events and post-go-live stabilization, including on-call assistance when required
- Ensure compliance of Epic builds with organizational standards, regulatory demands, and Epics best practices
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for workflows, configurations, and change management processes
- Participate in change control, release management, and system governance protocols
- Collaborate with teams across various functions (e.g., ClinDoc, Pharmacy, Radiant, Beaker, Willow, Interface, and Reporting teams)
Description
We are on the lookout for a skilled Epic Orders Analyst who will enhance and optimize the functionality of Epic Orders throughout our organization. This position offers flexibility as it allows for hybrid or fully remote work. As a contractor based in the Orlando, FL area, youll have a pay range of $80.00 - $90.00/hr, and will be eligible for various benefits, such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plans, and more.
