Entry Level Tech - Data Center Fiber & Copper

- Collaborate with a top-performing field team to execute comprehensive cabling tasks in a large data center environment - Pull substantial volumes of fiber cabling in data halls and riser areas - Conduct fiber and copper terminations (Cat5/Cat6, LC, SC, etc.) - Perform fiber splicing, including both ribbonized and conventional methods - Organize, dress, and maintain cable pathways with precision and consistency - Utilize Fluke Versiv testers for fiber and copper analysis - Ensure accurate labeling, patch panel descriptions, and proper cable dressing - Diagnose issues such as opens, shorts, miswires, and link failures - Carry out continuity testing and tone/trace functions - Install J-hooks, ladder racks, cable trays, fiber runners, and supporting structures - Construct IDF/MDF rooms from the foundation up, including racks, patch panels, and necessary hardware - Ground and bond equipment when needed - Assist in equipment mounting, rack & stack setup, and pathway installations - Operate independently and as part of a structured team - Communicate effectively with supervisors and raise issues when necessary - Maintain project timelines and adhere to safe working conditions - Foster a positive team atmosphere, especially in a fast-paced, high-volume data center setting
