Requirements
Must:
- 6+ years of experience with ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards One or SAP.
- 6+ years of experience in change management and release management.
- Proficient understanding of SDLC, testing practices, and deployment methodologies.
- Experience in manufacturing (supply chain, production, MRP, inventory, warehousing) or retail (store operations, merchandising, pricing, promotions, POS integrations).
- ITIL certification or familiarity with ITIL frameworks.
- Experience supporting JD Edwards upgrades or cloud/hosted environments.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete change management lifecycle for enhancements, fixes, upgrades, and integrations related to JD Edwards.
- Evaluate, prioritize, and authorize change requests to comply with business and IT governance protocols.
- Ensure compliance with established change control, release, and deployment processes.
- Lead Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and relay decisions to relevant stakeholders.
- Serve as a bridge between business users, IT, developers, and external partners.
- Analyze and understand the impacts of JD Edwards across various modules including Manufacturing, Distribution, Inventory, Financials, Procurement, Retail operations, and Order-to-Cash.
- Confirm that changes are well-documented, tested, and approved before being deployed.
- Assist in JD Edwards upgrades, patches, and ongoing improvement initiatives.
- Identify risks related to system changes and propose mitigation plans.
- Ensure that effective rollback and contingency strategies are established.
- Inform user groups of upcoming changes, outages, and enhancements.
- Encourage the adoption of best practices and continuous improvement in processes.
- Maintain precise change logs, release notes, and audit documentation.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX (if applicable), and IT policies.
- Assist with audits and reviews related to change management and system stability.
Description
We are looking for a Change Manager to guide and manage change activities throughout our ERP migration to JD Edwards. This role involves collaboration with IT, business leaders, developers, and external vendors to systematically manage planned changes. We offer a contract position based in Greensboro, NC, with a competitive pay rate ranging from $53.37 to $81.76 per hour.
