Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in directional drilling or underground utility locating preferred.
- Proficient in using locating systems (e.g., DigiTrak, Subsite) with a solid understanding of underground utility construction.
- Capable of reading and interpreting construction drawings and utility maps.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, and capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.

Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain locating equipment to monitor drill head position and depth throughout directional drilling operations.
- Interpret utility maps, plans, and job specifications to ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards.
- Effectively communicate with drill operators and the crew to maintain correct bore paths and avoid conflicts with existing utilities.
- Conduct pre-job site inspections and verify utility locates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve locating issues encountered in the field.
- Maintain accurate documentation of bore paths and as-built records.
