Requirements
Must:
- Proven expertise in providing Level 1 & 2 support for both local and remote users
- Proficient in troubleshooting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 applications
- Strong experience with endpoint management using Intune
- Familiarity with Defender for Endpoint software
- General troubleshooting and remote support skills
- Understanding of ITIL frameworks, including incident and change management processes
- Basic knowledge of DNS and DHCP, alongside network connectivity troubleshooting
- Ability to monitor desktop environment performance
- Excellent interpersonal abilities with a knack for establishing user trust
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical solutions clearly
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented, adhering to established processes and procedures
Responsibilities
- Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 support to onsite and remote users
- Troubleshoot issues related to Windows 11, Microsoft 365 apps, connectivity, and other endpoint concerns
- Manage support requests through walk-up, phone, chat, and email channels
- Document service tickets and escalate issues as necessary
- Serve as a technical liaison for end user computing challenges
- Provide training to users on hardware and software when required
- Maintain effective communication with users to ensure satisfaction
Description
We are seeking a Desktop Support Specialist for our Dulles office to assist approximately 150-200 onsite users, including executives, and offer remote support across our enterprise. This role is critical within our national IT team and will involve a mix of 60% onsite and 40% remote assistance. We value initiative, trustworthiness, and a productive work ethic in our team members. This position, based out of Sterling, VA, is contract-based with a pay range of $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
