Requirements
Must:
- 3-5 years of professional experience as a Database Administrator.
- Proficient in managing Azure SQL and Oracle database environments.
- Strong abilities in performance tuning, query enhancement, and capacity forecasting.
- Background in database backup, restoration, and disaster recovery methodologies.
- Familiarity with database monitoring tools and cloud management solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities for intricate database challenges.
- Strong communication skills, able to articulate technical concepts effectively.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related discipline.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the management and support of Azure SQL and Oracle databases, ensuring optimal performance and data security.
- Execute routine database tasks, including backups, restorations, patches, and updates.
- Monitor database efficiency and promptly address any emerging issues.
- Refine SQL queries, indexing, and schema structures to enhance system performance.
- Establish and uphold database security standards and compliance protocols.
- Document all database procedures, configurations, and operational workflows.
- Work collaboratively with developers, systems administrators, and diverse IT teams.
- Engage in disaster recovery planning, testing, and preparedness activities.
- Keep abreast of industry standards and advancements in database technologies.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
