Requirements
Must:
- Practical experience in a live, operational Data Center setting
- Proficient in pulling, terminating, and testing Cat6A cabling
- Familiar with surveying, patching, labeling, and documentation processes
- Knowledge of rack-and-stack procedures for network and server hardware (preferable)
- Experience in trunking systems (nice-to-have)
- Competent in Fluke testing and certification (advantageous)
- Capability to undertake physically demanding tasks, including safely maneuvering 2,000-lb cabinets
- Comfortable working within a cutting-edge, 200,000 sq. ft. Data Center that supports a major financial institution
- Understanding of CEPA regulations and experience in a controlled, dust-free environment
- Commitment to high-safety standards in operational tasks
Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup and dismantling of network and server hardware
- Conduct thorough testing and certification of cabling and network systems
- Maintain accurate documentation and labeling for all cabling and equipment
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory guidelines in a CEPA-regulated environment
- Support major infrastructure upgrades and migrations within strict timelines
- Collaborate with team members to meet the increasing demands of new projects scheduled for 2026
- Operate safely and efficiently within a high-caution work area
- Be proactive in identifying and resolving technical issues as they arise
