Requirements
Must:
- Active Secret security clearance
- Bachelors degree with 12+ years of experience or Masters degree with 10+ years of experience in Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Proficiency with specialized software such as MATLAB, SAS, or R
- Familiarity with machine learning methodologies and data mining
- Experience with data analysis and statistical tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement probability models, statistical inferences, simulations, optimization, data analysis, and data visualization to address operational challenges
- Integrate quantitative and qualitative analysis, alongside data science, into military decision-making frameworks
- Conduct assessments and analyses to measure the effectiveness of Agency initiatives
- Analyze data to discern trends, patterns, and valuable insights
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for data collection and interpretation
- Create simulations and predictive models to forecast future scenarios
- Optimize resource allocation and logistical procedures
- Execute cost-benefit analyses to assess project viability
- Prepare and deliver reports that communicate analytical findings and suggestions
- Utilize statistical software and programming languages for data analysis
- Monitor the success of implemented solutions and suggest enhancements
- Keep abreast of the latest trends and methodologies in the industry
Description
We are currently seeking an Operations Research Analyst to join our team at Fort Meade, MD. This role is vital to our strategic decision-making process, where you will apply advanced analytical and mathematical expertise to enhance our organizational processes. We work collaboratively to solve complex issues and implement data-driven solutions that boost efficiency and productivity. The pay range for this role is $83.00 - $90.00 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package for eligible candidates. This is a fully onsite Contract to Hire position.
