Requirements
Must:
- Proficiency in Azure architecture and services
- Strong SQL expertise including T-SQL
- Experience with data engineering and data warehouse concepts
- Knowledgeable in PySpark and data transformation processes
- Familiarity with Delta Lake patterns and medallion architecture
- Understanding of security protocols (RBAC, data masking, retention)
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD methodologies
- Ability to implement data modeling and optimize performance for BI/ML use cases
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft DP-600, DP-203)
- Knowledge of regulated data standards (HIPAA, GDPR)
- Ability to collaborate with technical teams and mentor junior engineers
Responsibilities
- Architect and construct solutions on Microsoft Fabric
- Design and implement schemas for Fabric Data Warehouse and Lakehouse patterns
- Create and manage end-to-end data pipelines using Data Factory
- Develop SQL and Spark notebooks for advanced data transformation
- Design semantic models for business intelligence and machine learning
- Optimize data structures for performance and cost efficiency
- Monitor data quality and reliability, establishing necessary checks and alerts
- Ensure compliance with security governance practices
- Implement version control and automation strategies for deployment
- Collaborate closely with data analysts, engineers, and developers
- Mentor team members and advocate for coding best practices
