Data Center Director - Low Voltage Systems

- Recruit, hire, onboard, train, mentor, and manage department staff (both exempt and non-exempt) - Set clear expectations, hold team members accountable, and manage performance, promotions, and corrective measures in accordance with company policies - Cultivate a strong team culture aligned with company values and long-term project objectives - Provide coaching and guidance to Project Managers and field leadership to aid successful project execution - Plan, assign, and oversee workload distribution across the department to satisfy schedule, quality, and delivery commitments - Supervise execution of various scopes of work, which may include structured cabling, low-voltage systems, AV, security, life safety, estimating, or BIM - Ensure completion of work in accordance with project plans, specifications, and customer requirements - Interpret project documents, drawings, and reporting requirements to guide execution and decision-making - Administer departmental budgets and project financials, including labor planning and cost control - Monitor and maintain project profitability in alignment with revenue and margin targets - Take part in the bid process, scope development, and project planning activities - Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, productivity, and financial performance - Function as the main company liaison to customer representatives and project stakeholders - Foster and sustain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and issue resolution - Collaborate with internal peers and leadership to ensure project scopes and responsibilities align - Enforce all safety and quality standards on customer work sites - Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards - Address quality or safety concerns promptly and implement necessary corrective actions - Utilize company and customer project management, financial, and operational systems - Develop, document, and implement site-specific process improvements - Support reporting, documentation, and performance tracking using standard business tools
