Requirements
Must:
- 5-10 years of experience in control testing or risk/compliance roles
- Previous experience within the banking sector; capital markets experience is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of sampling techniques and population development for testing
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed testing plans outlining the scope, objectives, methodology, and success criteria
- Execute control tests to assess the design and operational effectiveness of key controls
- Analyze operational process risks, identifying weaknesses and areas for enhancement
- Keep precise records of testing activities, outcomes, and identified deficiencies
- Create reports that summarize findings and provide recommendations for management and stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with risk management, compliance, and internal audit teams to exchange insights and synchronize efforts
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and assist in the remediation of control deficiencies
- Implement corrective and preventive measures in collaboration with business units
- Continuously evaluate control effectiveness and report on operational risk and sustainability
- Support internal and external audits with necessary documentation and insights
- Deliver training and awareness programs to enhance understanding of controls and risk management
Description
We are seeking Control Testing Specialists to join our Monitoring and Testing team, responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of controls across various sectors, including corporate banking, capital markets, wealth, and private banking. This contract position is based in Toronto, ON, offering a hybrid work environment. The pay range for this role is $40.00 - $50.00 per hour.
