Cloud platform engineer

- Design, deploy, and oversee enterprise-grade Red Hat OpenShift clusters in on-prem environments - Architect resilient, scalable, and secure OpenShift platforms - Manage the cluster lifecycle including installation, upgrades, patching, and scaling - Configure networking, storage, ingress, and security settings for OpenShift - Construct and automate infrastructure in datacenter settings (compute, storage, networking) - Integrate OpenShift with virtualization platforms (VMware and other hypervisors) - Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions utilizing tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar - Establish CI/CD pipelines for deployments and updates - Provide expert Linux system administration and troubleshooting support - Optimize operating system configurations for peak performance, reliability, and security - Automate system configuration and compliance oversight - Investigate and resolve complicated kernel, networking, and storage challenges - Collaborate closely with the SRE team to define SLOs, SLIs, and monitoring mechanisms - Lead the implementation of observability features (logging, metrics, tracing) - Assist in incident management, root cause analysis, and remediation processes - Ensure the resilience and performance of the platform through tuning and capacity planning - Coordinate with Program Management on significant OpenShift implementation milestones - Offer technical insights into roadmap development, timelines, and risk strategies - Work collaboratively with security, networking, storage, and application teams - Document architecture, standards, and operational practices - Enforce RBAC, security policies, and compliance measures within OpenShift - Strengthen clusters in line with corporate security protocols - Aid in vulnerability management and patch governance procedures
