Cloud operations analyst

- Maintain a legacy workload automation platform (Tidal) with emphasis on observability tools such as Datadog and PagerDuty - Administer general Windows-based systems and manage virtual machines transitioning to AWS - Develop and sustain observability tools for monitoring both cloud and on-premises systems - Support infrastructure teams in the upkeep of server systems on Windows and Linux - Create dashboards, alerts, and reports for system health and performance tracking - Analyze metrics and logs to identify trends, optimize performance, and preempt issues - Collaborate with FinOps teams to monitor resource utilization for cost-effective cloud operations - Oversee the lifecycle of cloud and on-premises servers, including provisioning and decommissioning - Troubleshoot and mitigate server-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime - Schedule and manage batch processes for critical task execution - Identify and address batch failures while coordinating with relevant teams - Develop new batch jobs to enhance performance and resource efficiency - Lead both on-site and remote data center operations ensuring hardware functionality - Work with vendors for hardware maintenance, replacements, and upgrades - Participate in on-call rotations for timely resolution of system incidents and outages - Conduct root cause analyses for issues and implement solutions to prevent recurrence - Document and communicate incident resolution processes effectively - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams for system integrations - Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations and incident responses - Provide training and guidance to team members and other departments
