Requirements
Must:
- Over 7 years of experience in data engineering or related fields
- Strong expertise in data engineering platforms and Lakehouse architecture
- Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure analytics services (such as Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks)
- Proven experience in designing and maintaining enterprise data platforms
- In-depth understanding of:
- Lakehouse patterns
- Data pipelines and orchestration
- Spark-based processing
- Experience with platform governance, automation, and DevOps methodologies
- Proficient in SQL and data modeling principles
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional technical teams
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related discipline
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the enterprise implementation and operationalization of Microsoft Fabric for data engineering tasks
- Create and execute strategies for Fabric workspace, capacity, and environment
- Establish and uphold platform standards for:
- Lakehouse and data architecture
- Data pipelines and orchestration
- Spark utilization and optimization
- CI/CD and DevOps methodologies
- Monitoring and operational support
- Set and uphold security, governance, and cost-management protocols
- Assist in the onboarding process for data engineering teams to Fabric
- Serve as an escalation point for Fabric-related issues and design queries
- Collaborate with architects and administrators to ensure coherence with enterprise architecture
- Help with performance tuning, troubleshooting, and maintaining operational reliability
- Create and maintain platform documentation, standards, and runbooks
- Support pilot projects and early adopter teams shifting to Fabric
