Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of direct experience in Atlassian development
- Advanced skills in customizing and enhancing:
- Jira
- Confluence
- Jira Service Management
- Proficient in development languages such as:
- Java
- JavaScript
- HTML/CSS
- SQL & JQL
- Python (preferred but not required)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with REST APIs (Jira/Confluence)
- Familiarity with Atlassian automation frameworks and scripting tools
- Strong knowledge of Agile, DevSecOps, and software engineering methodologies
- Proficiency in using Git, along with branching strategies and CI/CD workflows
- Ability to interpret complex technical specifications into workable code
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement tailored Jira workflows, post functions, validators, conditions, and automation strategies
- Create custom Atlassian plugins/apps leveraging Java, JavaScript, and Atlassian SDK frameworks
- Develop personalized Confluence macros, templates, and integrations
- Expand Atlassian functionalities through REST APIs, webhooks, and bespoke integrations
- Construct reusable scripts utilizing JQL, SQL, Groovy, Python, or JavaScript
- Develop sophisticated dashboards, custom fields, and reporting frameworks
- Uphold version control and CI/CD methodologies through Git or equivalent systems
- Connect Atlassian products with external tools, systems, and databases
- Diagnose performance challenges and fine-tune system settings
- Engage in Agile practices and enhance continuous integration and development workflows
- Team up with cross-departmental groups to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Prepare documentation, visuals, and technical descriptions for delivered solutions
