Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in IT, functioning as an applications analyst with knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency with Oracle, SQL, Excel, and various third-party reporting tools.
- Understanding of relational databases and client-server architectures, preferably with Oracle and SQL.
- Familiarity with billing applications, application management, Internet applications, MS Access, and report writing tools such as Actuate, as well as Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems.
Responsibilities
- Identify and assess project initiatives, conduct feasibility studies, and provide recommendations for system solutions.
- Oversee the development and rollout of software applications, including testing, process re-engineering, training, documentation, and ongoing maintenance.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for the company.
- Stay informed about vendor software, enhancements, and compliance with release requirements.
- Collaborate with IT staff to review security matters, ensuring data integrity and precision.
- Keep abreast of technology trends and maintain skills for implementing new technologies.
- Collaborate with application vendors to address and prioritize software issues.
- Manage relevant data files and updates to applications under the IT jurisdiction, ensuring accurate data maintenance during new system implementations.
- Enhance departmental efficiencies by providing additional software capabilities.
- Monitor nightly processes, resolving any issues that arise.
- Offer application support to end-users, identifying and addressing training needs.
- Create and track project schedules, presenting progress updates.
- Deliver accurate information and reports to end-users.
- Work with representatives from various departments to evaluate their needs and assess new IT projects.
- Assist end users in adopting new processes and procedures within their departments.
Description
We are seeking an Applications Systems Analyst to implement and support our Information System applications while serving as the IT liaison for end-user departments. This is a permanent hybrid position based in Statesville, NC. We offer a competitive salary ranging from $94,000 to $123,000 per year, along with bonuses, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, a 401(k) with employer match, and a dynamic team environment.
