Requirements
Must:
- Proficiency in WCAG standards and accessibility practices
- Familiarity with federal and state accessibility regulations including ADA Title II and Section 508
- Ability to analyze vendor accessibility documentation and identify inconsistencies
- Strong written communication skills for preparing formal recommendations
- Experience in evaluating digital tools for compliance with accessibility criteria
- Organized approach to maintaining audit-ready records and documentation
- Ability to provide guidance and support to departments regarding accessible technology
- Intermediate level experience in IT accessibility analysis or a related field
Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations of technology requests submitted through the IT Purchasing Portal to ensure they meet accessibility guidelines
- Analyze vendor-provided accessibility documentation, compare their claims to established requirements, and seek clarifications where needed
- Apply WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA standards and institutional policies to determine the accessibility of products
- Prepare detailed written recommendations outlining identified obstacles, severity of issues, and suggestions for remediation
- Offer support to campus departments, helping them understand accessibility standards and recommending inclusive technology solutions
- Maintain organized records of all reviews, update the repository of assessed technologies, and track vendor patterns

As part of our commitment, we are seeking an IT Accessibility Analyst to join our team on a contract basis, with the potential for extension. This hybrid position allows for flexibility, bringing together talented professionals focused on inclusive technology. We offer competitive pay ranging from $35.00 to $40.00 per hour, with a variety of benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
