Requirements
Must:
- 3+ years of experience in AV field service (background in integration preferred but not essential).
- Strong practical troubleshooting abilities in live corporate settings.
- Proficient in downloading and altering existing DSP and control system files (custom programming not required).
- Familiar with AV signal flow, audio/video routing, EDID, HDCP, and standard AV equipment.
- Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting (IP conflicts, VLAN awareness, basic switch support).
- Comfortable interpreting drawings, wiring diagrams, and system documentation.
- Excellent professional communication skills with corporate and executive users.
- Capability to independently manage service tickets.
- Calm problem-solving demeanor in high-pressure environments.
- Customer-focused mindset with a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Address AV service tickets across corporate enterprise environments.
- Conduct hands-on troubleshooting of AV systems, control interfaces, audio issues, video routing, and connectivity challenges.
- Diagnose AV-related network issues (IP conflicts, connectivity problems, basic switch concerns).
- Download, upload, and adjust minor settings for:
- Crestron control system programming (touch panel adjustments, configuration modifications)
- Biamp Tesira firmware/configuration updates.
- Apply firmware updates, perform device resets, and carry out configuration changes as necessary.
- Support AV technologies including:
- Crestron (DM, NVX, touch panels)
- Biamp Tesira DSP
- Extron/AMX control platforms (basic familiarity beneficial)
- Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco endpoints
- AV-over-IP platforms (NVX, SDVoE)
- Displays, projectors, video walls, and switching systems.
- Collaborate with IT teams when network-related issues arise.
- Document all service activities clearly and professionally.
