Requirements
Must:
- 7+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or security engineering roles
- Extensive hands-on expertise with HashiCorp Vault and CyberArk solutions
- Familiarity with high-availability architectures and primary/DR cluster setups
- Proven experience operating in multi-lane environments (Dev, UAT, Prod)
- Knowledge of managing privileged account vaulting and password rotation lifecycle
- Strong understanding of Active Directory integration with authentication platforms
- Experience in managing database credentials and their rotation
- In-depth knowledge of role-based access control, policy design, and least-privilege enforcement
- Proficient in Linux and Windows operating systems
- Familiarity with TLS, certificates, and secure networking concepts
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform or similar)
- Prior experience with running HashiCorp Vault and/or CyberArk in cloud environments is preferred
- Ability to mentor engineers and influence security architecture decisions
- Strong architectural thinking and communication skills, particularly with engineering and executive teams
- Capacity to operate effectively within large, federated organizations
- High sense of ownership for platform security and reliability
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade HashiCorp Vault environments including primary and disaster recovery clusters
- Engineer resilient architectures across multiple availability zones and data centers
- Create lane-based isolation for different environments (Dev, UAT, Production)
- Develop and support Password Vault solutions for privileged and service account management
- Clearly define functional boundaries between human and non-human identities as well as application secrets
- Implement designs ensuring high availability and disaster recovery for secrets platforms
- Address potential node loss, data center failures, and regional outage scenarios
- Own backup, restore, and disaster recovery testing strategies for Vault and CyberArk solutions
- Ensure the secrets platforms meet strict Tier-0 availability and resilience expectations
- Integrate Vault and CyberArk with corporate Active Directory for authentication and authorization purposes
- Manage dynamic and static secrets engines for database credential integrations
- Design identity-based authentication patterns while minimizing reliance on static credentials
- Enforce least-privilege access across both platforms
- Manage day-to-day operations including health monitoring, access logging, and performance tuning
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis related to security events
- Maintain operating procedures and runbooks for enterprise teams
- Automate provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools
- Establish standard onboarding procedures for applications utilizing Vault or CyberArk
- Publish reference architectures and engineering standards to promote integration
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to drive widespread adoption
