Must:
- I have a High School Diploma and 3 years of relevant technical experience; additional related years of experience can substitute for a degree.
- I hold a DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security CE or equivalent) prior to my start date.
- I am capable of working in a shift environment as this is a 24/7 operation.
- I possess experience in one or more of the following areas: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, and performance management.
- I have expertise with one or more of the following: routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, DSN/DRSN, GVS, Promina, CISCO, MSPP, Optical Switching.
- I possess a general understanding of both transport and IP network topologies.
- I currently hold an active Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
- I am responsible for conducting investigations into network and telecommunications system incidents.
- I identify and document network errors and their solutions.
- I analyze network and telecommunications alarms to identify potential issues.
- I configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices such as firewalls, cryptographic devices, and routers to optimize performance and ensure the security posture is achieved and upheld.
- I handle the configuration, testing, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network devices, phone systems (including phone units, voicemail, switches, infrastructure, and call manager systems), Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems, and related telecommunications trunk circuits.
- I configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices like MSPP, Promina, ATM, and Optical.
