Requirements
Must:
- I require 5 to 8 years of experience in technical support or network engineering, ideally within the telecommunications or mission-critical infrastructure sectors.
- A solid background in Ethernet switching, TDM/SONET/SDH, serial data communications, and legacy-to-IP migration is essential.
- I expect proficiency in Layer 2/3 networking, including VLANs, MPLS, QoS, and routing protocols.
- Practical experience with serial interfaces such as RS-232, RS-485, and T1/E1 is necessary.
- Familiarity with SCADA communications and protocols used in utility and transportation networks is highly desirable.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents.
Responsibilities
- I will rely on you to serve as the Tier-2/Tier-3 escalation point for customer issues concerning JumboSwitch hardware and software.
- You will be tasked with diagnosing, replicating, and resolving complex system problems in switching, multiplexing, and networking environments.
- You should provide root cause analysis and suggest preventive measures.
- It's crucial that you develop and maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of JumboSwitch architecture, modules, protocols, and configurations.
- Staying up-to-date with new releases, patches, and hardware upgrades will be part of your duties.
- You will deliver technical training sessions for junior engineers and customers.
- I expect you to act as a trusted advisor to enterprise, utility, transportation, and government customers.
- Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential.
- Documenting solutions in knowledge base articles and customer reports will be part of your responsibilities.
- You will collaborate closely with engineering, QA, and product management teams to escalate product defects and suggest enhancements.
- Supporting customer acceptance testing, field trials, and deployments will also be within your scope.
