Requirements
Must:
- I am seeking candidates with 1-3 years of experience in a security operations center environment, or recent graduates with industry-recognized certifications.
- Applicants must have experience with various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, or UNIX in a functional role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential; candidates must effectively convey technical information.
- Proficiency with Splunk or a similar SIEM tool is necessary.
- U.S. citizenship is a requirement.
Responsibilities
As a Tier 1 Security Analyst, I will expect you to analyze and respond to security events and incidents from various sources, including SIEM, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Endpoint Security Solutions, Network Access Control, and other client data.
Description
This position is for the 1st shift, working from 5 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday. While the initial contract is for 8 months, an extension is highly likely. Preferred qualifications include certifications such as CSIS, CEH, CSTA, CSTP, GCFE, CISSP, GCIH, or GCIA, along with skills in IDS log analysis, packet capture tools, and a solid understanding of common protocols and services (FTP, HTTP, SSH, SMB, DAP).
